KUCHING, Aug 27: Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar today conferred State honours on 155 recipients at the investiture ceremony held at the Astana Sarawak here.
According to Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), the ceremony began with the conferment of the Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak Pegawai Bintang Kenyalang (P.B.K) on 14 recipients.
They included Bukit Mabong District Officer Jabang Juntan, Sri Aman District Officer Shariff Bujang, Dr Bujang Julaihi, Dr Emmanuel Joseph Fong Tsung and Hasanal Abdul Wahid.
Also receiving the honour were Tan Chee Kang, Sagu Unting, Ir Ts Kueh Li Li, Sharifah Rodziah Sayeed Aman Ghazali, Sanuyah Mohamad, Saripah Aziah Wan Yon and Herlina Ajaib Jamahari, while Siti Suhaila Madji received it on behalf of the late Zamzuri Mahdi.
A total of 23 recipients were conferred Pingat Pentadbiran Awam Pingat Perkhidmatan Bakti (P.P.B ), including Royal Malaysian Air Force officers Lieutenant Colonel Denis Kueh Abdullah, Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Samzie Gusang and Lieutenant Colonel Majani Japon, as well as Superintendent Kamis Sulong.
Meanwhile, 15 recipients received the Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak Ahli Bintang Sarawak (A.B.S), including Datin Nancy Kuyor, Dr Christie Augustine Kiek, Carrie Anne John David and Chai Mian Nyen.
The Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak Ahli Bintang Kenyalang (A.B.K) was conferred on 21 recipients, among them Dr Mohamad Idres Rosli, Awangku Nassir Awangku Kerta, Affri Tonny, Anthony Amin and Cody Ma Yuong Jie.
Another 39 recipients received the Pingat Pentadbiran Awam Pingat Perkhidmatan Terpuji (P.P.T), including Abdullah Bojeng, Awang Zaini Awang Saed, Dennise Lo Thian Sin, Esa Junny, Ismawi Ibrahim and Mohammed Feruz Abdul Khalik.
The Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak Bentara Bintang Sarawak (B.B.S) was awarded to 43 recipients, including Dr Awang Habiburllah Awang Ismail, Dr Ishak Johari, Abdul Rahman Mohammad, Ahmad Zaiwin Mohd Kassim and Awangku Mohamad Azmi Awangku Jeman.
Junaidi was accompanied by Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi during the ceremony.
Also present were Sarawak Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki and his wife, Datin Amar Baduyah Bujang; Deputy Minister of Transport (Rivers and Marine) Datuk Henry Harry Jinep; Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Integrity and Ombudsman) Datuk Dr Juanda Jaya; and Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Law and Native Customs) Datuk Jefferson Jamit Unyat. — DayakDaily
