KUCHING, July 3: The Ministry of Works (KKR) has received three recognitions for its efforts in improving public service delivery and implementing bureaucracy reform initiatives.
In a Facebook post, KKR Minister Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi said that the recognitions are the result of teamwork, commitment, and the dedication of the entire KKR workforce. The three recognitions are the following:
- Certificate of Recognition for a High-Potential Project under KKR’s 2025 Bureaucratic Red Tape Reform (RKB) initiative for the project titled ‘Enhancing the Efficiency and Accountability of Road Data Management in Malaysia’, awarded to the Policy and International Division (BDA).
- Certificate of Recognition for a High-Impact RKB Project under KKR’s 2025 Bureaucratic Red Tape Reform initiative for the project titled ‘Expediting the Approval Process for Overseas Factory and Product Verification Reports’, awarded to the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia.
- Special Certificate of Appreciation from the Chief Secretary to the Government awarded to KKR for completing the highest number of Bureaucratic Red Tape Reform projects, with 15 projects completed since 2024.
“These recognitions do not belong to any individual but are the result of teamwork, commitment, and the dedication of the entire KKR workforce, who consistently strive to deliver their best.
“May these achievements serve as motivation for us to continue strengthening public service delivery and creating an even greater impact for the people and the nation,” he said.
Meanwhile, Nanta, who is also Kapit MP, said he chaired a post-Cabinet meeting today, with discussions centred on several issues requiring coordination and follow-up action involving the KKR and its agencies.
“I also emphasised the importance of embracing the spirit of ‘Public Sector Transformation’ in carrying out daily responsibilities so that officers continuously seek ways to improve work processes, expedite service delivery, and strengthen public confidence in government institutions,” he said. — DayakDaily
