KUCHING, Nov 7: Wider coverage of CCTV systems and transforming the public healthcare system in P217 Bintulu are among seven goals in Dato Sri Tiong King Sing’s (GPS-PDP) GE15 manifesto.

He said wider CCTV coverage will provide a safer living environment in Bintulu.

“If there is any incident, we can easily trace what actually happened on the ground,” he said in a video uploaded on his Facebook page today.

Apart from that, the Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) president planned to increase smart data-driven public services with efficient processing of public requests to improve the public health system especially on the shortfall in specialists and health equipment needed in Bintulu General Hospital.

He also looked forward to upgrading the industrial economy so that it could lift and ramp up the people’s income as well as strengthen public infrastructure especially electricity and water supply for the rural folk and communication systems.

On housing, he vowed to do his best to discuss with the relevant authority about plans to locate more landnto build more affordable homes for the people in Bintulu.

The Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) candidate also aimed to remove barriers to education for everyone and guarantee access to higher education.

“We will be looking for solutions to find how the government can accommodate children from low income groups to have better education,” he added.

Last but not least, Tiong wanted to push for greater equity for all and improve public healthcare, where he will look into how private hospitals can accommodate people in the event the public hospital cannot do so.

“These seven goals for a brighter Bintulu, I hope we can share together and be supported by the people where we work together for the next five years to achieve better living,” he emphasised. — DayakDaily
