Petronas CARRY Youth Outreach programme exposes local talents, students to career opportunities in energy industry

KUCHING, Nov 7: Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas) held a ‘Career Resides in You’ (CARRY) Youth Outreach programme to expose local talents and students to career opportunities within energy industry.

Petronas in a statement today said more than 400 students from the Sarawak campuses of Swinburne University of Technology and Curtin University Malaysia took part in the programme recently.

According to Petronas Project Delivery and Technology, Head of Integrated Regional Satellite Office (IRSO) Sarawak, Roseman Rosli in a statement, Petronas remains committed in continuously building a robust talent pipeline for the State’s growth in the oil and gas industry.


“As a global energy company, we will strive to create a positive social impact to surrounding communities as guided by our sustainability agenda.” he said.

The highlight of the programme was a career forum on ‘Connecting Dots: Moving Beyond Oil and Gas’ where Petronas leaders from various technical fields shared their experiences and provided insights particularly on Petronas’ commitment towards delivering cleaner energy solutions in line with its aspiration to achieve net zero carbon by 2050.

Participants also had the opportunity to attend a Technical Masterclass and a clinic on effective Curriculum Vitae writing. —DayakDaily
