KUCHING, Nov 7: A local political pundit says 22 months under Pakatan Harapan (PH) rule was ‘hell’ which became so deeply imbedded in the memory of Sarawakians that it is a part of history which Sarawak will not forget.

Dato Peter Minos said PH with its component party Democratic Action Party (DAP) went all out to “harass and bully” Sarawak.

“That previous 22 months of PH’s federal rule was real hell for Sarawak. We in Sarawak must never ever forget.

“Calling Sarawak a possible ‘bankrupt’ State, PH and DAP in particular went all out to harass and bully Sarawak, both in words and deeds. All deliberately and purposely done, like a sadist,” said Minos in a statement today.

He said funds for already approved projects all over Swak were cut across the board and that even funds for minor projects of RM30,000 and below were taken away.

“PH intended to break Sarawak financially. To ‘gasak’ or finish Sarawak,” said Minos.

He alleged that Sarawak DAP which was part of PH, had instigated PH in its headquarters to do its worst to Sarawak, as well as creating havoc and confusion at village level.

“We cannot forget what PH and DAP did. It is impossible to forget because it was too severe and painful. It remains forever in our minds.

“It was more than breaking pledges and promises. It was a deliberate assault on Sarawak and its people to force Sarawakians to surrender and submit. It was worse than foreign colonialism and subjugation,” said Minos.

He claimed this was the reason why Sarawakians created Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) which is to break away from tyranny and abuses from PH and by extension, any Malaya-based political party.

He said without Sarawkians united solidly behind GPS, more hellish stories will be repeated.

He asserted GPS is the only way of looking after Sarawak, as well as defending and safeguarding it.

“In this GE15 (15th General Election), PH and DAP play diversion to lure us to forget the hell they gave to Sarawak. But we will never forget that hell,” said Minos. — DayakDaily
