KUCHING, June 19: Sarawak aims to export 100,000 tonnes of hydrogen to South Korea by 2025, according to Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

ā€œWhen this happens, more job opportunities will also be created as we will need engineers and technical assistants.

ā€œWe have approved to set up two plants, each of which costs US$6 billion.

ā€œThe plants in Bintulu will be completed in five yearsā€™ time and 1,000 jobs will be created along with it,ā€ he said.

Meanwhile, on March 22, 2022, Abang Johari announced that Bintulu will become a hydrogen gas production hub as a result of investments by South Korean conglomerate Samsung and Japanese corporation Sumitomo. ā€” DayakDaily
