Para Sukma 2024: Three brothers splash their way to gold, silver and bronze for Sarawak

KUCHING, Sept 23: Sarawak swimmer Donny Jaranding scored Sarawak’s first gold medal in swimming after winning the S13 men’s 100m freestyle event.

According to a TVS news report today, in the same event, the silver and bronze medals were won by Kedah swimmers Muhammad Haziq Abdul Halim and Muhammad Amin Zakari, respectively.

Donny said he is proud to have contributed the first gold medal for Sarawak, as this games will be his last tournament.

Meanwhile, his two brothers, Julius and Stanley, also added to Sarawak’s medal tally when they won silver and bronze medals in the S12 men’s 100m freestyle event.

Donny thanked the coaches, family members and friends who have supported them all this time.
