KUCHING, April 2: Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and his wife Puan Sri Noorainee Abdul Rahman today visited the Medan Niaga Satok here to meet and interact with the rakyat.
The Prihatin and Penjana Programme walkabout to Medan Niaga Satok, is one of the programmes being scheduled on his second day of working visit to Sarawak.
During the walkabout, the prime minister also met with the traders at the market who are the recipients of the Bantuan Prihatin Nasional (BPN), Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat (BPR) and the Prihatin Special Grant (GKP).
The prime minister also took the opportunity to visit some of the shops and stalls to interact with the traders while viewing their products before having a tea break at one of the food stalls in at the venue.
Following that, the prime minister also visited the food stalls in Medan Niaga Satok and had some refreshments, before proceeding to his next Prihatin visit to Kampung Sindang Baru in Kota Samarahan.
During the visit, the prime minister was accompanied Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg, together with Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi, Minister for Local Government and Housing Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian, Assistant Minister in Chief Minister’s Department (Law, State-Federal Relations and Project Monitoring Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali, and Assistant Minister of International Trade and Industry, Industrial Terminal and Entrepreneur Development Datuk Naroden Majais. — DayakDaily
