MIRI, April 10: Miri police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu has clarified that the man seen wandering around Taman Bumiko wearing orange clothes resembling prison attire is not a prisoner on the loose but a homeless individual.

According to Alexson, a photo of the orange-clad man went viral on social media, with netizens claiming he was an escaped prisoner.

“Following the viral photo, police went to check on the man, and it turned out he is a homeless person and not an inmate as claimed by netizens,” he said.
