KUCHING, March 31: The case of missing child Eric Chang was never entangled with any human organ trafficking syndicate or gang revenge as alleged and speculated by the public.

Kuching Police chief ACP Ahsmon Bajah in emphasising this, assured parents that Eric’s case was an isolated incident and does not involve syndicates or groups of babysitters with ill intentions.

“I give assurance that Eric’s case is an isolated case. It has no connections to any alleged groups or syndicates trafficking human organs. No, that is not true.

“There is also speculation that it’s related to revenge. Please, no. This case is not related to any revenge between groups or individuals,” he repeated himself.

He specially addressed these allegations during a press conference at the Kuching District Police Headquarters here today.

As of this morning, Ahsmon added, the investigation paper of Eric’s case was completed and referred to the Sarawak Regional Director of Prosecution’s office.

Eric’s babysitter couple, the two suspects, will be brought to Kuching Courts Complex and charged for murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which provides for the mandatory death penalty if convicted. — DayakDaily
