KUCHING, Mar 20: Federation of Chinese Associations president Datuk Richard Wee is calling for volunteers to provide food for healthcare frontliners working 24-hour shifts.

He said the federation was now gathering their wish list of their preferred food items.

“As we are still gathering data and wishlists, we hope to start by Monday next week. This is a volunteer work to appreciate our healthcare front lines,” Wee told DayakDaily today.

Wee said they might be looking to assist between 100-200 of these frontline healthcare workers who would not have the time to get food while working.

“If you wish to volunteer to assist in our Federation of Chinese Associations’ Disaster Relief Committee, please let me know and register yourself so we can all come together to provide organisation and logistical planning and arrangement for food and meals for the front line hospital medical personnel and other assistance for the crisis,” added Wee.

He also said that the federation was doing a video clip to cheer and support the frontline medical personnel.—DayakDaily
