Two plead not guilty to document forgery charges over land worth RM3.5 million

Man pleads not guilty to intimidation, causing hurt to wife.

KUCHING, Oct 3: A Datuk and another man pleaded not guilty to charges of forging documents involving a piece of land in Kuching North District Land worth RM3.5 million yesterday.

The court fixed pre-trial case management for Oct 30.

Datuk Wong Hee Toh, 73 was charged with forging a Memorandum of Transfer dated Dec 14, 2012 which concerned the land located at Jalan Satok.


The second accused, Othman Bojeng, 61, was charged with forging documents, including a photocopy of an identity card allegedly belonging to a 41-year-old man, a Memorandum of Transfer dated Aug 28, 2012, a certificate under Section 13A dated Aug 28, 2012, a copy of an identity card allegedly belonging to a 34-year-old man, a Memorandum of Transfer concerning the land at Kuching North Land District, a certificate under Section 13A dated April 30,2012, and a photocopy of an identity card allegedly belonging to a 49-year-old man.

In total, Othman Bojeng faces 11 charges in and was released on court bail of RM50,000, with RM7,000 to be deposited and two local sureties. Meanwhile, Wong was released on court bail of RM10,000, with RM2,000 to be deposited and one local surety.

They were charged under Section 471 of the Penal Code and punishable under Section 467. If convicted, they may be punished with imprisonment for up to twenty years and are also liable to be fined. — DayakDaily
