KUCHING, June 15: The construction of the proposed Sri Aman Boxing Centre is pending approval from the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Entrepreneur Development (Mysed) Sarawak.
According to a report from the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation, and Talent Development, Datuk Francis Harden Hollis, announced that a four-acre plot of land near the Sri Aman Sports Complex has been identified for the project.
“Apart from that, we have also applied for the construction of two outdoor football fields, dormitories for men and women, a dining hall, and a tennis court,” he said.
Hollis expressed hope that the development would encourage sports associations to become more active in conducting their activities.
“We also hope that it will attract sports fans to Sri Aman,” he added. — DayakDaily
