The handout further stated that this year’s MAP-i ceremony, organised by the Sarawak Integrity and Ombudsman Unit (UNIONS) in collaboration with the Malaysian Institute of Integrity (IIM), was themed ‘Fostering Integrity for Our Future Generation’.

The event was officiated by Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

“This year’s MAP-i marked its fifth instalment, symbolising the continued commitment of the Sarawak government to emphasise the importance of integrity among civil servants and the public, thereby promoting effective governance and ensuring ethical service delivery,” read the handout.

The ceremony also featured the presentation of MS ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) certificates to six pilot projects from various departments and agencies, including: Sarawak Premier’s Department (JPS), Sarawak Islamic Affairs Department (JAIS), Sarawak Forestry Department (JHS), Regional Corridor Development Authority (RECODA), Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC), and the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts Sarawak (MTCP).

The certification was presented by Group Chief People Officer of SIRIM Berhad, Adi Afwan Zainudin, to the respective department heads.
