KUCHING, July 8: A 29-year-old pedestrian was killed after he was struck by a vehicle along Lorong Biawak 10 in Lundu.
According to a report from Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation centre today, they received call regarding the incident at 4.34am and deployed Bomba Lundu to the location.
Based on a report from operation commander upon arrival at the location, the victim, identified as Immanuel Heypli, was hit by a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV).
Following the incident, the victim, who was stuck under the vehicle was extracted by firefighters using rescue tools.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel from Lundu Hospital and was later handed over to the police for further action. — DayakDaily
