MIRI, Oct 21: A kitchen in an eatery along Jalan Merbau was almost destroyed by an early morning fire, today.
According to a report from the Miri Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), they received an emergency call at 5.02am and a six-man team led by PB Kebing Ngau was rushed to the scene.
Upon arrival, Bomba then deployed a 300-foot hose, which utilised a nearby fire hydrant to put out the fire.
About 80 per cent of the kitchen which was located on the ground floor, was burnt during the incident.
Bomba managed to prevent the fire from spreading to neighbouring shop lot and successfully extinguished the flames. No casualties were reported during the incident. — DayakDaily
