KUCHING, Jan 18: Netizens are cautioned against clicking on the link button associated with fake online articles or advertisements featuring the image of Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian that are currently circulating online.

In a post shared on his Facebook page today, Dr Sim urged the public to exercise caution when encountering these deceptive online advertisements or suspicious posts that have misused his photo and name, accompanied by false information.

“Do not click their link button as they (the site) may have bad intentions and possibly (part of) a scam operation,” he said, urging people to be vigilant and avoid falling prey to these fraudulent posts.

The circulated post, originating from an account named Most.important, featured a Malay-language caption attempting to entice users with the message “Sim Kui Hian menjelaskan kepada pakar mengapa dia tidak pernah sakit: ‘Saya telah membersihkan… darah saya sekali seminggu selama…” (Sim Kui Hian explained to experts why he never falls sick: ‘I have cleansed… my blood once a week…”).

A portion of the caption was unreadable due to an overlay of a FAKE warning.

A check on the Most.important account on Facebook, it was discovered that the account is empty without any posts.

With only three likes and two followers, it raises suspicions regarding its legitimacy. Users are advised to exercise vigilance and refrain from interacting with such dubious online content to ensure their online security. — DayakDaily
