682 summonses issued during Ops TBC 2022

SERIAN, Jan 31: Action has been taken against 379 vehicles since Ops Tahun Baharu China (TBC) 2022 from Jan 25 until 30.

According to Federal Secretary of Sarawak Datuk Amir Omar, the number was from 3,613 vehicles of various categories inspected, during which 682 summonses for various traffic offences were also issued.

“Road Transport Department (JPJ) Sarawak together with different government agencies will continue to carry out the various strategies which have been put in place to achieve the Shared Prosperity 2030 Vision,” he told a press conference at the JPJ Weighing Station office along Kuching-Serian Road today.


Amir added that the agencies to be involved are the Immigration Department, police, and National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK).

Amir also strongly encouraged the public to report traffic offences by e-mail at aduantrafik@jpj.gov.my or via the public complaint management system at http://jpj.spab.gov.my.

OPS TBS 2022 is carried out nationwide from Jan 24 until Feb 8 to help minimise road accidents and deaths. — DayakDaily
