KUCHING, April 26: A thunderstorm warning has been issued for 11 districts in Sarawak until 7pm today.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) in an advisory notice released at 3.50pm said the affected districts are Serian, Samarahan, Simunjan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sibu, Selangau, Bintulu, Tatau, Sebauh and Limbang.
According to the department, the warning is issued when there are signs of thunderstorm with rain intensity exceeding 20mm/hour or with rain fall expected to occur for more than an hour.
It added that a thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning valid for maximum of six hours for every release. — DayakDaily
