SONG, Nov 1: Two persons here were fined RM1,000 each for not wearing face masks at a public place today.

Song district police chief, DSP Rowney Michael Jalak said the two offenders were locals who had failed to provide reasons why they were not wearing face masks.

As a result, the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) integrated enforcement team comprising the police, People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela), Health Ministry and Civil Defence Force issued the offenders with the RM1,000 compound each.

“We will not compromise on any individual found not following the standard operating procedure (SOP) by issuing compounds on them,” Rowney warned.

He reminded businesses and the public to always abide with the SOP set by the Health Ministry. — DayakDaily
