KUCHING, Nov 1: St Joseph’s International School here might be forced to close for seven days for sanitisation after one of its students tested positive for Covid-19.

According to a notice from St Joseph’s Private School to all parents of students at St Joseph’s family of schools dated today, a parent of the said student informed the school’s principal of the situation.

The notice revealed St Joseph’s International School might have to close for seven days for sanitisation from November 1 to 7.

The school added that it is working closely with the authorities to take appropriate actions and has provided a list of possible close contacts to the State Health Department for contact tracing.

The school added that it has shifted its exam centre for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and A-Level examinations to St Joseph’s Private Secondary School.

It noted this shift is possible as the Covid-19 positive student had no close contact with any of the students taking the IGCSE and A-Level examinations. — DayakDaily
