KUCHING, Feb 18: Two men were arrested on suspicion of being involved in a case of causing damage to a vehicle with losses incurred amounting to RM3,850 at Taman Pangol Jaya, Jalan Lapangan Terbang Baru, recently.
Kuching District Police Chief ACP Ahsmon Bajah said the suspects, aged between 33 and 42, were arrested in Jalan Stapok Utama, Batu Kawa, yesterday (Feb 17).
He said the arrest was made by the Kuching Police Criminal Investigation Division led by Inspector Muzaffar Shah Ibrahim.
“Background checks found that both suspects have past arrest records involving three criminal cases and three drug cases.
“They also tested positive for methamphetamine and amphetamine,” he said in a statement today.
Both suspects will be remanded for further investigation under Section 427 of the Penal Code.
If convicted, they can be punished with imprisonment of up to five years, or a fine or both. — DayakDaily
