“We are the first local station (State-owned) throughout Malaysia so we have to emphasise on locality (for the logo) and that is through our Sarawak flag—black, red and yellow.

“Our slogan ‘Inspirasi Duniamu’ will be maintained as it gradually goes beyond.

“Moving forward, we will expand our coverages to create compelling content shows that will attract viewers from outside Sarawak,” she said during a press conference after the launch of TVS new logo at CityOne Megamall here today.

Meanwhile, TVS deputy executive chairman and SMG chief executive officer (CEO) Kushairi Abang disclosed that the TV station is planning to set up branch offices in Sibu, Bintulu, Miri and Kuala Lumpur beginning next year.

“In terms of national and international collaboration, we are currently working out plans to collaborate with TV Al-Hijrah, Astro Warna and Radio Television Brunei (RTB). We will also attempt to have collaboration with Indonesian agencies.

“These collaborations are important because at the moment we have so much foreign content coming in, but what we want to do now is to bring our local (Sarawak) content abroad,” he elaborated.

According to a press release, moving forward in 2024, TVS viewers can anticipate a diverse and captivating programme lineup from the first quarter of next year, encompassing reality shows, talk shows, documentaries, as well as locally produced as and acquired dramas.

Exclusive content segments, such as ‘Teater Klasik,’ and international offerings from Turkey, South Korea, Indonesia, Philippines, and Hong Kong, will enhance the programming.

Special programmes tailored for the upcoming Chinese New Year celebration in February underscore TVS’s dedication to capturing the essence of major festive seasons in Malaysia.

Apart from the logo, TVS also launched its new theme song and website domain at www.tvsarawak.my, which embraces its direction in moving towards national coverage, emphasising national integration between the regions of Malaysia.
