Before The Commodores took the stage, audiences were treated to a diverse line up celebrating musical traditions from across Asia.

The evening began with Akasha’s Magic Hour performance, followed by the thunderous rhythms of The Thunder Beat of Nanyang Wushu Drums whose energetic display drew loud cheers from the crowd.

Sabah’s Straw Lim then slowed the pace with laid back folk melodies before the Philippines’ Drum Up reignited the atmosphere with an energetic percussion performance that had festivalgoers clapping and dancing.

Sambasunda from Indonesia brought traditional Sundanese sounds to the festival before Mongolia and Japan’s Namgar captivated audiences with haunting vocals and a performance that blended ancient musical traditions with contemporary influences.
