S’wak, Sabah, federal leadership strengthen ties ahead of MA63 council meeting

KOTA KINABALU, Sept 11: The close ties and spirit of understanding between Sabah, Sarawak, and the federal government were highlighted during a dinner hosted by the Sabah government, which saw the attendance of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim alongside Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor on Thursday (Sept 10).

According to the Office of the Premier of Sarawak, the dinner was held ahead of the Malaysia Agreement 1963 Implementation Action Council (MTPMA63) meeting scheduled for today.

The Premier’s presence reflected leadership unity in strengthening ties and cooperation among Sabah, Sarawak, and the federal government.

The dinner was also attended by Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Law, MA63, and State-Federal Relations), Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Syed Aman Ghazali; Sarawak Secretary, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki; Sabah Secretary, Datuk Zainudin Aman; Speaker of the Sabah Legislative Assembly, Datuk Seri Panglima Kadzim M. Yahya; as well as ministers from the Sabah, Sarawak, and federal governments.

The MTPMA63 meeting is an important platform to discuss developments in implementing matters related to the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63), particularly those involving the interests of Sabah and Sarawak. — DayakDaily
