KUCHING, Sept 11: Taste of Borneo 2.0 aims to be a vibrant community celebration of food, coffee, and entertainment, while providing local businesses and young talents with a platform to showcase their creativity, says Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng.

“I hope the celebration can remind us of the importance of community and, of course, encourage everyone to come and enjoy our local food and support local vendors.

“This is one of the celebrations organised by the youth for our Malaysia Day celebration,” she said during a press conference at the MBKS meeting room today.

Wee said the inclusion of activities and live entertainment would make the food bazaar more than just a place to eat, creating a space for families, friends and the wider community to gather, have fun and spend quality time together.

“This creates a full day of activities right here at MBKS, so we hope all of you will come and join us,” he said.

The Taste of Borneo 2.0 Food Bazaar, organised by JCI Kuching, will take place from Sept 14 to 16, from 5pm to 10pm at the MBKS Community Hall, with an extended programme on Sept 16 from 10am to 10pm featuring more than 20 food vendors, activities, and live entertainment.

Also on Sept 16, from 12pm to 6pm, visitors can experience Coffee Rave 2026, featuring local coffee brand Kopi Papa, plus DJs, music, games, workshops, and food.

Promotional tickets for Coffee Rave 2026 are priced at RM30 each, while normal-priced tickets are RM50 each.
