SUPP youth: PH hoping to form MPKK to interfere into Sarawak’s affairs

KUCHING, Sept 23: The formation of the Village Community Management Council (MPKK) is just another move by Pakatan Harapan (PH) federal government in their series of intervention in Sarawak’s internal affairs.

This is the view of Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) youth central secretary-general Milton Foo who also believed that MPKK formation is another political suppression on Sarawak after the recent disbandment of Sarawak Special Committee on Citizenship (SCC) by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

“The PH federal government is contemplating to make an inroad to Sarawak’s affairs with the ultimate goal to topple GPS Sarawak government in the coming state election.”

He elaborated that after May 9, last year, the federal government under PH has been thirsty for power.

“They always wanted to take over the administration of the Borneo State of Sarawak (as Sabah is already in their hands) with much interference to our internal affairs through various attempts to implement policies favourable to their take over.

“Their motive is simple, that is to put their own eyes and ears through MPKK establishment so that they can tell our Sarawak people that they are already in control and power,” said Foo in a statement today.

Foo said Putrajaya tend to forget that Sarawakians are not subservient to them and the Malayans are not here “to rule Sarawak as a colony in disguise.

Foo further opined that Sarawak must stay alert to circumvent the Malayan’s control.

“The people of Sarawak shall stay away from the disgraceful cultures and values of Malaya which could be gradually and discreetly penetrating our villages and longhouses in the rural areas through this MPKK system.

“This is a conspiracy in disguise with the sole intent to take control of the Sarawak’s administration from Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS).”

Foo also believed that by introducing MPKK, much confusion and disunity will be created among Sarawak’s community folks.

“There is already Village Security and Development Committee (JKKK) in existence and why need another MPKK system? Apparently, by having these two systems to work concurrently, it will cause more harm rather than benefits to the unity of Sarawakians especially in the rural areas,” he added.

He said PH has been all out to interfere into Sarawak’s internal affairs and this is a blatant ignorance and disrespect to Sarawak as an equal partner in the federation as claimed and promised.

“All they want is to make sure they can form the government of the day in Sarawak soon,” he believed.

Yesterday ( Sept 22), Deputy Chief Minister, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas reiterated  there has been no need for the MPKK to be set up to replace JKKK in the state.

He disclosed that the federal had consented that JKKK would not be replaced by MPKK.

Uggah said the JKKK were to stay put and the federal government had concurred that another body would serve to confuse and divide people especially in a village. — DayakDaily
