KUCHING, July 25: The construction of Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Pulo is expected to be fully completed by February next year.
Sarawak Deputy Minister of Utility and Telecommunication (Utilities), Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi, stated that the project is funded by the Sarawak government through the Land Custody and Development Authority (LCDA).
According to him, the school building will be ready for use by April or May 2025.
“This school can accommodate 900 students and has 30 classrooms.
“It also provides three classrooms to meet the needs of 75 preschool students,” he was quoted as saying in a press statement.
He made these remarks while inspecting the new SK Pulo construction site in the Darul Hana development area here yesterday (July 24).
Dr Abdul Rahman, who is also Pantai Damai assemblyman, highlighted that the school will be categorised as a smart school with smart classrooms.
“This smart technology includes school management, educational systems, a cashless canteen (cashless transactions), and a scan-in system to record student attendance,” he explained.
Additionally, he mentioned that the school will also be equipped with an indoor hall capable of accommodating 375 people at a time and an open sports court.
He expressed hope that the school would produce many outstanding students in both academic and extracurricular fields. — DayakDaily
