MIRI, May 18: Miri City Day Blood Donation Campaign Returns for the 18th time, uniting six organizations to save lives.

Organised by the Malaysian Red Crescent Miri Branch Blood Donor Recruitment Committee in collaboration with five esteemed organizations, this blood donation campaign aims to ensure sufficient blood supplies during the festive season.

The campaign will take place on May 21 from 8.30am to 1pm on the 1st floor of the MRCS Training Institute at Jalan Bulan Sabit.

The Miri City Day Blood Donation Campaign brings together six organisations, namely the Malaysian Red Crescent Miri Branch Blood Donor Recruitment Committee, Miri Indian Association, JCI Lutong, Moving Communities Team, Miri Piasau Community Welfare Association, and Persatuan Usahawan Maju Malaysia.

This collaborative effort reflects their commitment to serving the community and saving lives through blood donations.

With a target of collecting 70 pints of blood, the Miri City Day Blood Donation Campaign aims to assist the Miri Blood Bank in ensuring an ample supply of blood during the festive season.

This longstanding event has become an integral part of Miri City Day celebrations, emphasising the importance of blood donations and their positive impact on the lives of individuals in need.

All eligible members of the public are urged to come forward and donate blood during this campaign.

Each pint of donated blood can potentially save multiple lives, providing hope and healing to those facing medical emergencies.

In appreciation of their selfless act, all donors will receive some light refreshments after the donation process.

Furthermore, each donor will be presented with a Certificate of Appreciation, recognising their invaluable contribution and commitment to saving lives. — DayakDaily
