KUCHING, Aug 3: Sungai Bintangor Bridge at Jalan Datuk Ajibah Abol in Kuching here will be fully closed from tomorrow (Aug 4) until March 27, 2023.
The Public Works Department (PWD) of the South Region Office in a statement today said the road closure is to give way for works to demolish the existing bridge and build a new bridge.
“Road users are requested to use alternative roads whereby those coming from the direction of Jalan Datuk Ajibah Abol/Jalan Market/Jalan Haji Taha/Jalan Kulas must use the alternative road as in Appendix A to reach the destination.
“Meanwhile, road users from the side of the Jalan Datuk Ajibah Abol/Jalan Haji Mataim traffic light intersection are informed to use the alternative road to Jalan Haji Mataim as in Appendix A,” it said.
The statement went on to say that it would inform the members of the public if there is any change in the date, time or area involved with the construction work of the bridge.
