KUCHING, Dec 24: Partially or non-vaccinated patients are required to undergo a compulsory 10-day quarantine at hospitals when entering Sarawak from outside Malaysia.

For vaccinated patients, mandatory quarantine at hospitals will last for seven days, but they must provide proof of having completed their Covid-19 vaccination schedule.

According to standard operating procedures (SOPs) by the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) dated Dec 24, both groups are required to submit their negative rT-PCR test results with a three-day validity period to enter Malaysia.

To enter Sarawak, they must apply through EnterSarawak and fill in the e-Health Declaration Form (eHDF).

Note that only one fully-vaccinated companion is allowed with each patient.

For non-Malaysian patients, other than the Covid-19 vaccination certificate and negative rT-PCR test result, they must also submit a copy of their passport, work permit or visa.

Additional documents are the respective flight itinerary, approved MY Travel Pass or MY Entry Pass, medical conditions verified by hospital, arrangements for ambulance for pick up at point of entry to hospital for quarantine, receipt of payment for medical arrangement, and letter from hospital for treatments or appointments.

Meanwhile for delivery transporters of essential goods, quarantines are exempted, but application through EnterSarawak and eHDF must be filled in prior to any travels into Sarawak.

If border crossing to Brunei is required, transporters must undergo RTK-Antigen tests at the Brunei Border before they are allowed to cross the border on a one-day pass.

They must carry along documents such as their negative rT-PCR test results, completed two-dose Covid-19 vaccination, a copy of identification card or passport, and a letter from their company on delivery. — DayakDaily
