BINTULU, Sept 14: A four-year-old boy was injured after a Perodua Alza carrying three people was involved in an accident near the traffic lights in front of Kampung Assyakirin here this morning.
According to a report by the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), the department received an emergency call about the accident at 8.11am, prompting a team from the Bintulu station to be deployed to the scene.
The team arrived at 8.14am and found that all three victims had been removed from the vehicle by members of the public before firefighters arrived.
Two victims, one adult male and one male child, were uninjured, while another male child sustained injuries.
The Bomba Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) team subsequently transported the injured child to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Operations were brought under control at 8.21am and concluded at 8.29am after firefighters ensured the area was safe. — DayakDaily
