New Pagar Tebedu Cluster spreads Covid-19 infection to 29 lockup detainees

KUCHING, July 3: The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) has announced a new cluster dubbed the Pagar Tebedu Cluster after 29 individuals were found positive for Covid-19.

According to SDMC in a statement today, the cluster involved lockup detainees in Tebedu district police station.

“A total of 29 individuals have been screened and all of them were found positive for Covid-19, including the index case,” it said.


The committee added, all of the Covid-19 positive cases detected in the cluster have been admitted to the quarantine and low-risk patients treatment centre (PKRC) in Serian for isolation and further treatment. — DayakDaily
