KUCHING, Jan 31: A man broke his leg, while one other suffered minor injuries after a collision involving a lorry and a trailer at Jalan Datuk Stephen Yong, here today.
State Fire and Rescue operation centre said a team of six firefighters from the Batu Lintang fire station were deployed upon receiving a distress call at 6.46am.
“The incident involved a head-on collision between a five-tonne lorry and a trailer.
“One of the passengers, who suffered a broken left leg, was pinned inside the five-tonne lorry and has been rescued by the firefighters. Another person escaped with minor injuries,” the department said in a statement.
Firefighters also gave medical treatment to both victims before they were sent to the hospital. — DayakDaily
