Lost little girl now safe with father after she was found wandering on the streets in Sibu

The girl has since been picked up by her father.

SIBU: A young girl who was found wandering around Jalan Hardin on April 29 is now safe with her family.

The girl, who is around three-years-old, was picked up by her father later that night from the police station where she was brought to by a concerned member of the public.

A source said her father had asked her brother to take care of her as he was then working. Her mother is working in West Malaysia.

“It was believed that the girl walked out of their rented house alone when her brother had dozed off,” said the source.

A member of the public spotted her crossing Jalan Kampung Nyabor, heading towards the town centre at around 5pm.

The good Samaritan, who was worried for her safety, then took her to the Central Police Station, where she was looked after by the police until her father arrived to take her home.
