LCDA files police report against online news portal over unsubstantiated allegations

KUCHING, Oct 13: The Land Custody and Development Authority (LCDA) has lodged a police report against an online news portal for accusations involving its top management.

LCDA chief executive officer Bibi Umizah Osman said that LCDA strongly denies the allegations made by an unverified online social platform that was circulated on Oct 12.

“LCDA strictly maintains the highest standards of corporate governance, strict financial procurement, and transparency in all its daily operations and businesses,” she told reporters when met outside of Satok police station today.

She added that LCDA is prepared to take legal action against anyone who continues to share and spread the unfounded news.

The police report was lodged by LDCA risk management unit manager Yusuf Bujang.

It is understood that the online news portal accused LCDA to be involved in a scandal for the construction of a road in Muara Tuang, Kuching. — DayakDaily
