KUCHING, April 10: The Magistrate’s Court here released a female executive of a private company on bail today after she had been remanded for four days for the investigation of a false claim of RM5,828,220.

The 41-year-old suspect is an executive of a private company.

She was arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on April 5 and was held under remand for four days to further investigate the case of allegedly falsifying bank statements amounting to RM5,828,220 to tender a food supply project for a hostel in Matang Jaya.

The remand order against her expires today.

Deputy Registrar of Subordinate Court Aida Montong today released her on the MACC bail.

The case was being investigated under Section 18 of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Act 2009.

Yesterday, the Magistrate’s Court dismissed the remand application by the MACC on two owners of a food supply company as the Court view that there is no ground for the MACC to further remand both of them. — DayakDaily
