MIRI, Nov 9: A 65-year-old man dies after his vehicle overturned and plunged into a pond this morning.
The victim, Chan Pek Lam, was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the Fire and Rescue department, seven firefighters were deployed after receiving an emergency call at 7.11am.

Chan, who was found trapped inside the vehicle, was travelling along Jalan Miri-Bintulu when the self accident occurred near Kampung Iran, located about 84km from Miri.
Firefighters had to use the S.A.V.E.R concept to retrieve the victim and the body was later handed over to the police for further action. — DayakDaily
