KUCHING, Aug 21: BarkPark and Tunku Putra-HELP International School are going to collaborate to paint a mural aimed at creating awareness on pet ownership responsibility and inspiring love for animals.

BarkPark founder Anna Wee said students from the school are invited to submit their dog-centric designs with a social message, and the winners will be selected to paint on the 22-feet by 7-feet mural wall.

She also said the project acts as a classroom beyond walls to encourage budding young artists to express themselves on social issues and be empowered by their talents.

Meanwhile, Wee said the wall which will feature the mural was built in a hurry at the height of the Covid-19 outbreak to help house some strays at risk of being culled.

According to her, the wall served its purpose well in housing several mother dogs and puppies in transit to adoption.

She added, BarkPark is also creating additional space for a dog school, daycare centre and a pet hotel to offer various pet services like dog training programmes, day-care packages, boarding packages, as well as a one-stop shop. — DayakDaily
