KUCHING, Nov 11: Three high-impact water supply projects implemented in Sebuyau worth RM93 million are expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2022.

According to a report from the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, Minister of Utilities Sarawak Dato Sri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom said the implementation of the projects are fully funded by the State government.

“So far, the three water supply projects have shown very positive progress, despite facing challenges following the Covid-19 pandemic,” he said during a working visit to the project sites today.

Dr Rundi pointed out that in addition to improving the existing water supply system, the project is also expected to boost the socio-economic status of the local community.

He said it would also serve as a catalyst for more sustainable economic growth, especially in the field of agriculture.

“It will also help improve the quality of life of the people in the Sebuyau sub-district,” he added. — DayakDaily
