LAWAS, Oct 18: Three children who were trapped in a car that had plunged into a river near Jalan Awat-Awat were rescued by villagers and rushed to Sundar Clinic for medical attention.
Photos from the scene show cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) being performed on two of the children, who had nearly drowned.
Firefighters from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Lawas rushed to the scene shortly after receiving an emergency call at 1.15pm today.
A large crowd was seen gathered at the scene.
The accident involved a Perodua Alza carrying nine passengers. While six individuals managed to save themselves, three children were trapped inside the vehicle at the time of the incident.
The current condition of the children has yet to be confirmed. — DayakDaily
