KUCHING, April 26: A 75-year-old man who went missing while looking for wood in the forest near Kampung Judan in Mukah was found to be safe this morning.
According to a report from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), the victim, Narudin Abdullah, was found at 11am.
“The victim was found by villagers who were part of the search and rescue (SAR) team. He was reported to be safe with no injuries.
“He was successfully brought out from the forest at around 12.30pm and brought to the hospital for further action,” said the report.
According to an earlier report, the victim went out into the forest at around 11am on Friday (April 25) to look for wood to make fish traps but did not return, and his family was not able to contact him, prompting them to seek help.
A SAR operation was launched but suspended at 9.29pm as it was too dark and resumed today. — DayakDaily
