KUCHING, Aug 23: The Brompton Tribal Ride 2025 will return to the streets of Kuching from August 30 to September 1, bringing together cycling, culture, and community in celebration of the Merdeka season.
The three-day event organised by W.G. Cycle will bring together Brompton enthusiasts from across Malaysia and overseas to experience Sarawak’s capital from a different perspective—on two wheels, weaving through heritage trails, riverside promenades and lively kampung neighbourhoods.
Riders will pass through some of Kuching’s most iconic landmarks, including the Kuching Waterfront, Darul Hana Bridge and Borneo Cultures Museum, with heritage stopovers highlighting traditional crafts, local delicacies and indigenous storytelling.
“This isn’t just a ride—it’s a journey into the heart of Sarawak. Every route is designed to honour the land, the people and the stories that make this region so special,” said a W.G. Cycle spokesperson.
With participants hailing from China, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Germany, Indonesia, Thailand, and Singapore, the ride reinforces Sarawak’s image as an international destination for culture and adventure.
Each participant will also receive an exclusive Tribal Ride Pack, which includes a commemorative jersey. The event also promotes eco-tourism and healthy living by encouraging sustainable travel and active lifestyles.
Beyond cycling, the event offers riders a chance to connect, share stories and form lasting friendships.
Open to both seasoned Brompton riders and newcomers, the Tribal Ride is designed to be inclusive and enriching.
