Two women arrested in Matang drug bust

KUCHING, Oct 6: Police have arrested two women following a drug bust at a house in Taman Dahlia here.

The raid which was conducted around 12.15am today was carried out by the Padawan Narcotics Crime and Investigation division led by Inspector Nicodemus Branking, following some leads from their investigations.

Padawan police chief Supt Aidil Bolhassan said the two women aged 27 and 47 respectively, were at the house, and police also found a length of straw in one of the suspect’s hands containing what seems to be ketamine, weighing about 0.9g.


Further checks inside the house revealed a plastic packet containing two smaller packets containing crystals suspected to be methamphetamine weighing 0.7g, and another packet containing suspected ketamine weighing 1.2g.

Supt Aidil said one of the women tested positive for ketamine, and both have been arrested to assist the investigation.

He also urged members of the public to inform the Padawan police if they have any leads or information on the case. — DayakDaily
