KUCHING, July 31: The Tan Sri Empiang Jabu Research Chair (TSEJRC) for Dayak Women’s Studies received a visit from committee members of Sarakup Indu Dayak Sarawak (SIDS) Kemena and SIDS Bintulu branches yesterday.
The delegation from SIDS Kemena branch was led by its chairperson, Jenny Banga, who is also political secretary to the Chief Minister, while SIDS Bintulu Branch was led by its chairperson, Catherine Lanyau.
The delegation were briefed about TSEJRC by the chair’s current holder, Prof Dr Jayum Jawan who is also the Dean, Faculty of Humanities, Management and Science, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Bintulu campus.
Jayum said a presentation was made to the delegates on some short term courses and trainings available through UPM Bintulu campus’ University Agriculture Park.-DayakDaily
