KUCHING, July 31: Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Kuching branch youth assistant publicity chief Eric Tay Tze Kok and his team visited Padungan and the Petanak Market today.

The purpose of the visit was to distribute face masks to business owners and the public.

Tay in a statement said the distribution of face masks was in line with the federal and state government’s requirements for the public to wear face masks in public places starting tomorrow (August 1) as measures to curb the Covid-19 pandemic.

Tay who is also SUPP Youth Central SME Bureau chief has reminded the public to abide by the standard operating procedures (SOPs) set by the Ministry of Health at all times.

“As Kuching city has become the only red zone in the country, we must work together to fight this (health) crisis.

“We must increase the awareness and prevention measures, while the SOP must be strictly followed, so that Kuching can return to its previous state and everyone can live worry-free, thus avoiding another outbreak in the country,” he said. —DayakDaily
