KUCHING, Aug 5: The Sound of Music 3.0 will be back again in Kuching at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) on August 9.
This fundraising concert is jointly organised by the Rotary Club of Kuching Central together with Plaza Merdeka Holdings.
The concert will feature the South Norfolk Youth Symphonic Band from the United Kingdom with their musical director, Michael Booty and SainsKu Winds who will feature an array of young budding local talents that will add spice to an already exciting line-up.
Sarawak very own award-winning violinist, Nisa Addina, will be performing at the concert as well.
The first and second Sound of Music concerts were held back in 2012 and 2016 and raised approximately RM 2 million in total.
The fund was utilised to construct two halfway houses at the Sarawak General Hospital and at the Sarawak Heart Center in Kota Samarahan.
It also provides financial relief for the necessary cardiovascular procedures for qualified individuals for The Sarawak Heart Foundation.
This year, the concert will benefit the Salvation Army who will be assisted in their move to a permanent location in Kota Samarahan.
The sponsorship packages are available at three different tiers, namely Platinum – RM10,000; Gold – RM 6,000; and Silver – RM3,600.
All the tickets come with nine seats in a theatre style setting for the concert complete with a 9-course dinner.
All financial support be it large or small will be appreciated and are to be made directly to the The Salvation Army.
Sponsors will get a tax-deductible receipt.
