KUCHING, Dec 17: Members of the public, especially motorists, are to take note that a certain section of Jalan Rock would be temporarily closed from 7pm on Dec 20 to 5am the following day.
The closure is for the launching of a concrete box girder for the proposed Timberland Overhead Bridge.
All traffic from Jalan Laksamana Cheng Ho towards Mile 3, Batu Kawa and Hui Sing will be diverted to Jalan Permata.
Traffic bound from Batu Kawa towards the Mile 3 underpass will be diverted to the Mile 3 roundabout.
There will be a partial closure of the entrance and exit from or to Central Park Commercial Centre, too.
“All road users planning to go to Timberland Medical Centre are advised to take the inner ring road at 3rd Mile roundabout as shown in the map attached.
“Those planning to drive towards Central Park area are advised to use the Aeon Mall traffic light junction at Jalan Tun Ahmad Zaidi Adruce,” said the Public Works Department (JKR) in a statement today.
“Road users heading towards Jalan Rock are advised to follow the temporary traffic flow as indicated on the safety signboards. Road users are urged to plan their journey and avoid using the affected routes to avoid any inconvenience caused.”
JKR added that in case of bad weather or any unforeseen circumstances, the road closure would be postponed to the following day. — DayakDaily
