KUCHING, Sept 6: A 27-year-old man was arrested for allegedly selling illegal lottery tickets at a shop located at Jalan Kampung Krokong Lisa, Bau yesterday afternoon.
The police raided the shop at 4pm when the suspect was in the shop.
Bau district police chief, DSP Poge Nyaon said two pieces of paper with numbers, which were suspected to be illegal lottery numbers, and a sum of money were found during the raid.
The suspect did not have any previous criminal records and will be remanded and investigated under Section 4A(a) of the Common Gaming House Act 1953. — DayakDaily
