Supercube’s “food bank” provides daily necessities to help needy affected by Covid-19 pandemic from today

KUCHING, June 5: Supercube, The Enchantress Cauldron in Jalan Depo here is providing a “food bank” to help the needy affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, starting today.

According to a news report from the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, its owner, Liyana Wan Yusuf, said the “food bank” would provide the public with their daily necessities such as rice, eggs, flour, sugar, vermicelli noodles, soy sauce, tea and many others.

The “food bank” started today (June 5), at 10am, is operated in compliance with the standard operating procedures (SOPs).

The daily necessities are distributed to only 60 people daily, on a first-come-first-serve basis, until the stock is depleted.

Such initiatives have received a positive response and to some extent, open up opportunities for individuals as well as the non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
They can either help through monetary contribution or adding to the basic necessities, to ensure that the supply stock is always sufficient. — DayakDaily
